No. You can sign up and use the Starter plan forever without a card. For paid plans, your 14-day trial starts the moment you sign up — we only ask for payment details when the trial ends and you choose to continue.

Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time from your account settings. When you upgrade, you're billed pro-rata for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

We'll notify you before you hit any hard limits and prompt you to upgrade. We won't suddenly lock your team out of existing work orders or data — you'll always have read access to what you've already created.

Annual plans are billed once per year at a 20% discount versus monthly. For example, Pro is $39/mo on annual billing ($468/year) vs $49/mo billed monthly ($588/year). You can switch between monthly and annual from your account settings.

Yes. You can export your work orders, assets, and documents at any time — before or after cancellation. Your data is always yours. We'll never hold it hostage or make it difficult to leave.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit via SSL/TLS. Sensitive fields use additional encryption at rest. We use role-based access controls so team members only see what they're supposed to see.

A network is an independent organization within ToolBelt — with its own users, work orders, assets, and settings. The Business plan lets you run multiple networks from one account, which is useful for contractors managing several clients, or holding companies with separate entities.
